Key Systems
A restricted key system is a patented key system that is restricted to
specific locksmiths who are members of an association, such as the Master
Locksmith Association of Australasia (MLAA). Only the locksmith who
created this system can make changes, such as cut extra keys or change
locks, under written authorisation from a nominated signatory.
Advantages:
-
Provides increased security
to a building
-
Provides strict key control
-
Keys will only be cut when
requested by an authorised signatory
-
Locks can only be changed by
the authorised signatory
-
Computer key management
software is available for your computer
-
Additional security is
achieved by choosing a key system that is controlled by a limited number
of locksmiths
Active Lock & Key currently offers several high security restricted key
systems with valid patents for many years. The following table highlights
four of these systems and their listed features and benefits.
